The Lottery

Life is a game of chances.

Just like the lottery.

Some people prefer to go it all alone and just have 1 chance.

Others like the idea of a group or a team of 6. This way you have more chances to win.

When a group shares expenses you have more money to play with.

I will always stick with my team of people and split the wins or the losses. A team wins and looses together but best of all a team sticks together and the team is there for moral support.

Either way the team shares the expenses its much cheaper on everyone this way and I like to have more chances.

Who would want to loose it all on their own?

I love my team!

The great Okra giveaway

The okra in our garden is producing about 4 x of what we expected them to do.

We have given away about 4 bushels.

We have been giving okra away to people we know and having give aways for people we do not know and we still have okra coming out our ears.

We have one lady that has gotten about 12 gallons of okra from us.

With COVID19 still going on it only seems right to do this we did the same thing with our cucumbers.

If you have a kind heart give something back to your community.

Doing the right thing at the right time could give people some HOPE and put a smile on someones face.

I will be off the blog for a few days but will be back later in the week.

Good Morning

This was Saturday mornings sunrise in Manvel, Texas. I honestly thought I would miss it by the time I got out there.

The colors were very pink and orange with highlights of purple. Sunrise colors can change in 2 minutes and become something totally different so timing is everything.

Every sunrise means a new day to enjoy natures beauty that is right in front of us.

Crickets trainer

This is Amanda who is crickets trainer from Pearland K 9 Training. She is a CPDT-KA certified trainer with three years experience.

She and Cricket get a long great. Cricket has learned sit, stay, come on, down, leave it ( such as a treat etc). She will be learning let go this next week.

Then Cricket will be moving to socialization at the park. We have not been to the park since we have been isolating so this will be interesting for us both.

Walking down our street your not going to run into any people that are walking so there is no socializing her that way.

I want to be able to take Cricket on walks to the park and even to Petsmart or Petco without worry. With three dogs we would have to take turns going to the park.

We took this picture to show off Crickets size I think you all can tell she is just a tiny little 7 month old puppy.

It has been great working with Amanda I highly recommend her if you live in our area.

Cricket is 7 months old

Cricket is our 7 months old Cane Corso puppy who weighs about 115#’s.

The boys from this litter are around 125 – 130#s.

She is a very big girl who is very smart and very protective of me.

Shady Acres Rosharon does a wonderful job with the quality of their pups and picking out really good matches for breeding purposes. Our daughter has it figured out which colors of pups you will get with the colors of the male and females you breed.

The sunflowers on her head was something I wanted to do for fun. I love dog photography sessions and I love to capture the unexpected with a large dog.

Cricket loves the grand kids and tries to sit on them she wants so badly to be a lap puppy. She does not realize her size she just knows she is a puppy that drools a lot.

Every morning around 5 a.m. she whines and cries for her breakfast she does the same thing in the afternoon around 4 p.m. She is very verbal and is not ashamed to show you.

All three of the dogs get a long great and play well together.

Every dog has a unique personality and they all do little things to show off who they really are.

Six Years

Dad it has been six years since you passed away. Not a day goes by that I do not think about you.

When I feed the birds or see the deer I remember how much you enjoyed wildlife. You loved your raccoons and they were very friendly.

A crisp 60 degree fall day was your favorite time of year. Pecan pie was your favorite pie. You loved chicken and dumplings, potato soup and beef stew.

Most days I get gentle reminders of you that make me laugh or cry.

Memories are there to soothe our souls and give us peace of mind.

I love you always and forever and thank you for the love & influence you had on my life it made me the strong person I am today.
