Squirly the acrobat

Squirly is around most days but usually in the backyard this was in the front yard.

On this particular day he decided to climb the tree go down the chain on the bird feeder and do acrobats upside down eating sunflower seeds. Every time he needed a seed he grabbed one from the side section and then went back upside down to eat it.

He is quite talented to say the least and has a very good grip.

When he left I went to see about how many he had ate my guess would be 50 or so hulls on the ground.

Wildlife inspires me to do the impossible.

Squirly is back again

Squirly moves all around our yard and sometimes has a friend in tow.

He has to be careful so he does not get chased by the dogs or a cats. Then there are the hawks that always looking for a quick meal.

In this picture he was on the side deck pasture feeders.

Wildlife is threatened on a daily basis we all need to do our part to help it out.

Look outdoors and enjoy the show wildlife has to offer.

Squirly in the birdbath

Squirly shows up pretty often in our backyard this time he was in the birdbath getting a drink. His facial expression was priceless.

After I saw him standing in the birdbath I knew I needed to refill them normally I can see the water from the den window.

Cricket chased him the other day she thought she could catch him I knew he would be fine.

If it were Zoee I would have been concerned because she is super fast.

The days we have a chance to see wildlife and photograph it is amazing.

Squirly’s back

Squirly has decided he wants some bluebird nuggets and he hangs on tight while it swings in the wind to get pieces of the nuggets through the wire.

He puts on quite a show and Cricket loves to sit and watch him if she is outside.

Hide and seek

This little squirrel set off Kiwi the Nanday Conjure when you hear his loud squawk you know there is an intruder.

Kiwi makes this squawking noise for snakes, hawks and squirrels. Mostly its the hawk aggravating him. Its more of a panic type squawking noise you hear but you can always tell he has spotted something.

This time it was our friendly squirrel way up high in one of our large oak trees that is right in front of the window Kiwis cage is in. I love to watch the squirrels we see a lot when we go walking.

Here are a few pictures of him being perfectly still and making himself part of the oak tree limb. I think he was playing hide and seek from the bird, the cats and me and my camera.

I appreciate the wildlife we get to see and enjoy. This week we saw a doe two different times while we were walking. I always tell her hi so she can get use to my voice. The first time she ran off the second time she stood there.

Take the time to appreciate nature and her beauty and respect the fact it is there for you to enjoy. Life is good!

My little friend

This little squirrel has been trying to figure out how to get into my bird feeder.

This is one of my concrete leaf bird feeders and it is attached with brass chain. Finally he decided to climb down the chain and there he sat waiting for me to get his picture while enjoying some bird seed.

Life is good nature is great each day offers something new and exciting to see. Take the time to notice what is right in front of you.
