Chilling like a dove

I was able to grab a few pictures of some dove.

The first one was in a feeder checking out the second dove in the water. The one in the terra cotta saucer was using it as a chill out station. I had placed a few smaller containers of water for the birds on that side of the yard. The saucers work out well and are easy to clean.

Doves are beautiful birds their movement is so graceful and they seem so carefree.

Capture nature with your camera and enjoy all that wildlife has to offer.

Doves just wanna have fun

I never know what I might see in the 3 bird baths that sit together in the backyard.

I think its so funny all the birds visiting will get in one bird bath & be crowded when there is plenty of room in other bird baths.

These doves like everything else are just looking for a place to cool off and get a drink. I try my best to change the water every day so it will stay cooler but they like it better in the sun than in the shade.

Yesterday we finally got a little bit of rain 1 1/4″ hopefully there will be more to come in the next few days.

Doves just wanna have fun.

Daisy Mae and the Blue Jay

The other day I was watching a blue jay in a new bird bath in the backyard. I grabbed my camera to get outside to get a few pics.

Well, Miss. Daisy pushed her way out the door and then put herself in between the bird bath and me like she knew what I was doing. Either that or she wanted to pose for pictures who knows with Miss. Daisy.

The next day while I was looking out the den window I spotted him again this time I stayed in the house and shot through the window using my 400 mm lens. I did this just so Daisy would not know what I was doing lol. She always has to be the center of attention.

He sure is a cute little one and he really seems to love the bird bath.

I have always put the bird baths in the shade and never had a lot of action this one is in the sun most of the day and gets noticed by the birds. Maybe I should move the other two.
