Mr. Bird was posing while sunning on the side deck so I had to grab a picture.
It is pretty easy to get a good picture of him because he likes to relax, stretch out and sun. Sometimes he rolls over like a dog when you call his name so I got lucky this time he did not do that.
Mr. Bird still looks young even though he is 12 years old.
Animals bring such joy to your life its a very special thing.
Miss. Zoee turned three years old on Monday.
She finally hit 53#s and is looking really good I think last year she was around 37#s.
Still a snuggle bug wanting under your covers and maybe laying in your lap.
She loves the outdoors and would rather spend her time outside than inside even in the heat.
Zoee is a very happy boxer dog loves to meet and jump on everyone she sees that hyper butt has not gotten any better.
Miss. Daisy turned 8 years old last Thursday April 22.
She is still very active but has slowed down over the last year she does not demand fetch as often as she use to and she does not jump on our bed as much. This girl loves laying outside in the sun and when she gets hot she moves to the shade.
Daisy has developed nasal Hyperkeratosis on her nose its like a dry crusty area. Every time I try to put aquaphor or baby oil or something on it she wipes it off. It is quite common in boxers and nothing to worry about.
I think she is a bit pudgy right she does not have a waist but she is getting older. I have cut back on her food again we will see what happens. About a year ago I started feeding her and Zoee separate so she would not eat Zoee’s left overs.
The pictures of her looking away Zoee was in the den window in the house and Daisy was keeping her eye on her lol. It is easier for me to do pics when they are outside alone.
Daisy is a very sweet boxer dog whos favorite game is playing fetch with a Chunk It ball. We now buy the large size ones because the mediums in Crickets mouth disappeared and I was so scared she would swallow it.
Daisy is aging quite well and really does not look her age. I love my Daisy Girl even though she is spoiled rotten.
Miss. Cricket is the first one to get to do Clover pics this year.
With our 3 dogs its much easier for me to do pics of them one at a time.
Cricket is 13 months old and probably still about the same weight of 150#s she seems like she has gotten taller.
She loves to eat sticks, wood and play fetch for about 10 throws at the most believe it or not she runs fast.
When she’s running toward you it will scare you to death because you think she is going to broadside you and knock you down but she always avoids doing it.
She loves to put her feet in her water bowl not sure what that is all about. Sometimes I catch her splashing in the water bowl and she has a trough that she can actually get it but rarely does.
Her food intake is 2 x a day 3 cups each feeding.
Sometimes this year Cricket will be bred for the first time. It has to be after August because registered dogs have to be 18 months old to breed the first time. Cricket is dual registered so she is super special lol.
We tried several things with these pictures full sun head-on or shaded by Jack who was standing in front of her on the laying down picture. Her actual coloring shows better in the full sun picture. Look at the size of her head! When she puts an XL Chunk It ball in her mouth it disappears. You do not even know she has the ball in her mouth.
Dogs have a way of stealing your heart and melting your soul but most of all changing your life forever.
This is 8 week old Elvis he is one of the survivors of Ravens last litter.
We are babysitting the grandkids this weekend and this puppy. He went to his new home yesterday in San Antonio. The grandkids go back home today lol.
He just had his ears cut on Thursday and has white stiches so if you notice a thread coming out his ear its just the stich thread.
He has a cleft lip but it’s just the lip, not the roof of his mouth that is why he is called Elvis see his little gap in the middle of his mouth. I can just see how cute this will be when he gets his big teeth in showing off a new tooth.
This pup has a cute personality and followed me around all day long yesterday and slept in Jacks lap.
Puppy breath and puppy kisses will make anyone’s days brighter.
We took Miss Cricket to Petsmart they moved the scale off the floor and up on a platform that is the dumbest thing I have ever seen.
She did not want to weigh her butt was off the scale then her foot finally she was all on the scale and she weighed 145#s. She is quite the whopper.
For some reason on my post about Cricket I got off on her age today she is 1 – year old just a pup at 145#s.
Cricket is a slobber dog and this pic shows what happens after a few rounds of fetch.
Three and a half weeks old and when they see people here they come for some attention wagging their tails.
I love that their colors are all so different. Our daughter has studied genetics and understands this a lot more than I do. The colors of the mom and dad produce the colors you end up with. I think her combination seems to be working out well because all these colors are beautiful.
I think our grandkids have spoiled these little cuties. Yesterday they were holding them wrapped in towels while they were watching tv. The towels were in case they happened to pee on them lol.
Little puppies can put a smile on anyone’s face..
Little Lady was so big I honestly thought she had 5 pups in there. Last Tuesday she finally had 3 pups.
Two of them are quite rare the black one is a full piebald tuxedo this one is a female. The multicolored brown is a shaded red OR a chocolate-based red it is a male it depends on the nose color and that changes a bit. The brown is a solid chocolate female.
They weighed .85, .80 and .65 on day 6 Monday morning. Not even 1 pound yet lol.
They are AKC registered miniature long haired Dachshunds.
These pictures were taken on Sunday I was using a metal bed Jack had made me to use in newborn pictures and a wooden barbie doll bed my dad had made.
The joy of fuzzy little puppies make everyone happy.
On Monday we had a Dachshund ( weenie dog ) wedding for Little Lady and the Tramp he is about 2 1/2 years old she is 2 years and 4 months.
She is expecting her first litter of puppies and due this coming Sunday but we figure it will be sooner.
I think she is going to have 5 puppies sometimes I am right on my puppy guesses but I have never guessed one this small.
They are both Miniature long hair Dachshunds that are AKC registered. She is smaller than him as you can tell by their faces.
There will be puppy pics in the next few weeks.

Our big headed Cricket has been quite busy.
For her 9 month adventure she ate a 3 year old crepe myrtle tree and a remote control for the tv. No worries the batteries were still in the remote.
You have to be on your toes all the time with this young lady.
It was not like she did not have large balls, small balls, toys, full size tires, large sticks, ropes and a place to dig along with a water tank, swimming pool and large rocks she moves all around the yard to chew on.
Just when you think you have enough chew things in the yard for her she decides to find something new.
Cane Corso puppies are a great deal of fun but they need constant entertainment if not boredom catches up to them and they ruin something you wanted to keep. My knockout roses are in a large raised square bed that had large wooden round orbs on each corner. She ate the orbs that were bigger than her mouth.
Everything they eat when they are bored tends to be something that is not intended for dogs.
I will be so glad when this puppy stage is over for the big headed Cricket.
Shady Acres Rosharon should be having puppies in mid December from Raven and Zelda both Cane Corso’s Females are bred. There has been a list of people waiting for months for the next batch of puppies that have already put down deposits.
Mako bred both the females this was the first time for him to be the stud since he was 19 months old. He is the Formentino (dark beige color) male she got as a puppy that has the best personality.
