The cardinals around here are also known as red birds.
We have so many juveniles right now I guess it is a group of teens hanging out. As teens they go through changes with their feathers and sometimes they look a little scraggly.
I love sitting outside while they are eating they get use to seeing you. I love the sounds and whistles the red birds make.
I am always hearing new bird sounds but I do not always find the bird to identify it.
The sights and sounds of nature and the wildlife that surround us allows us time to take a deep breath, relax and enjoy it.

Our teen cardinals are very scraggly too. Especially after a rain! It was a good year here for birds, we have lots of chickadee youngsters, and cardinals and sparrows and titmice. Probably more that I’m not paying attention to. So fun! Love your beautiful bird shots!

Thank you. I have seen quite a few chickadees, titmouse, mockingbirds, blue jays and red birds.
