A pair of cardinals

When I was a kid I always remember my grandmother feeding the birds.

When she would go into the backyard all the birds would fly all around her it was the most amazing thing.

She always fed them left over cornbread and the birds loved it.

One of her favorite birds was the cardinals. I wish she could see today how many cardinals we have that come here to eat. I know at times there are 10 in these feeders and that is just this side of the yard.

Most of the time they eat in pairs even when I see a group of them they are in pairs.

Cardinals are beautiful birds and they make the most amazing sounds so you know they are near.

Every time I see the cardinals it makes me think of my grandmother.
