I recently inherited a large display bible from my moms estate.
It was given to my great grandmother who was known as Miss Rilla Anders on April 3, 1903.
My grandmother later married my grandfather Grover Cleveland Moore also known as G.C. Moore and became Mrs. Rilla Moore. He is the one who gave her the bible before they were married.
It’s very used, tattered, worn, and needs repair to be restored to be able to be passed down to future generations.
I honestly did not want the responsibility of having something like this to take care of but I have it so I need to do the right thing.
Does anyone have any suggestions about who to contact about restoring a 118-year-old bible? What to preserve it in for the meantime I was thinking of an L vacuum seal bag maybe? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
