We started this about 5 weeks ago it was one week after my stent was put in and so far we manage to walk 5 -6 days a week. Currently our goal is 2 1/2 – 3 miles per day our November goal is going to be 3 miles.
It has made a huge difference in the way we feel.
I wear Asics Gel Nimbus running shoes they are quite expensive $150.00 per pair but I catch them on sale for usually $80.00 at the Asics store.
I try and keep 2 pairs so I can alternate them. I just got a new pair I am breaking in by wearing them a few days a week on the walks.
Orthopedics and Podiatrist are recommending Asics for their patients to wear because the support is amazing and they are good for your feet.
Asics tennis shoes like all other brands come in a variety of prices BUT there is a huge difference in the way they feel on your feet. I am spoiled to the Gel -Nimbus and the Gel – Kayano line of shoes.
Even the $50.00 Asics are better than $100.00 Nikes.
Here is a picture of my latest bright blue pair of Asics I love this color. The next pair will need to be more neutral colored but I wear a lot of blue so these work out well.
Walking for your health is very important for all ages but especially if you are over 60 years old. Challenge your mind and your body for optimum health.
Since there is never anything on the main channels as far as tv goes you have to be creative in hunting for something to stream.
I have been watching Little House on the Prairie I remember when it was a prime time tv show we watched every week.
There are 9 seasons and a average of 22 episodes a season yes 22 that is unreal for today shows that normally you get 10 episodes per season.
All the story lines are great and its just good old fashion tv with a plot and a lesson.
Now days its game shows or reality tv taking over all the major channels. We do not watch either one. These shows need to go away or the networks not sure which.
We love Greys Anatomy and have from Season 1, we watch Station 19, The Neighborhood, Stranger Things, American Housewife, 20/20 and The Good Doctor. I love medical shows I always have back when George Clooney was on ER and House was the best Dr around the kind we all wanted.
I have watched ER from Season 1 forward a few times and the same thing with House.
There has been such a big time span since last seasons episodes of real tv because they were all cut short due to Covid19.
This is where a real season of real tv came into play with The Little House on the Prairie it is about a farming community with the families struggles in a small town. Its good old fashion tv with a story line and a lesson about a life with morals and values.
A picture of a flower can look totally different by the way you frame it.
Try moving to the left or the right or shooting from above to see how you can change up the look.
Leaving negative space in the picture below allows for an interesting perspective.
Cropping the picture much closer changes the look of the image.
In this case I prefer the one with the negative space because I feel like it draws me into the picture. For some reason I like the negative space on the left hand side I have no idea why.
This flower is the Agapanthus ( Lily of the Nile). These were beautiful this year and they were clearance flowers from Lowes.
I am still guessing her weight to be about 115#s. Hopefully we can get by the vet or Petsmarts scale soon.
She is still growing and her appetite is increasing.
We wake up around 4 -5:00 a.m. and its doggie potty time. By 5:30 a.m. Crickets whining and moaning for breakfast. Daisy and Zoee do not do this but Cricket is very vocal with her opinions.
Cricket gets 3 cups dry food plus one heaping tablespoon of canned mixed up with 1/8 cup water 2 x a day. She does the same moaning and whining for evening food around 4:00 p.m.
Zoee and Daisy get 1 1/2 cups 2 x a day mixed with water and the heaping tablespoon of canned food.
Daisy had to go back on her Iiams dog food but now she is on healthy weight version. She was getting to be square no curves lol. I think the other food is to high or protein for her at her age. She is easy going so the transition went just fine.
Jeanelle and I read about dry food causing bloat so now our dogs get it mixed with a little water usually about 1/8 cup water seems to be working out well for everyone.
The dogs have been enjoying the cooler weather and seem to be spending more time outdoors that is a good thing for Cricket and Zoee who are always rowdy and wrestling.
Daisy is calmer and prefers to be where we are she likes keeping an eye on us.
We take turns letting the dogs walk down the road with us and they all enjoy that. It is a disaster to take all 3 at the same time.
We switched everyone to the martingale collars I like the design it slips over their head and tightens if they are pulling on a leash. Since our dogs do not wear collars full time they get so excited to see the collar and leash and start doing jumping flips. The collars come in different widths and Crickets is the wider one the boxers the narrow one. I found ours on Amazon they had some nice aztec patterns.
Life is good in our 3 dog family we just go through a lot of dog food with Crickets appetite.
This year Amazon prime day was delayed due to Covid19 but the delayed date is going to be this Tuesday October 13th. and Wednesday October 14th.
We have replaced our tv’s and computers so those good deals are not for us. I bought a back up camera I hate because its to light compared to my full frame but eventually it will get used.
Maybe I can find a upright freezer they still seem to be a commodity since Covid19 started. We honestly need a 2nd one for the garden vegetables the fall garden is going to be bigger than the spring one was.
I wanted to post this to remind everyone of Amazon Prime Day.
