I saw this little bunny hopping around the back yard he was lucky the dogs were not out there to play chase.
When I went outside & he did not see me I stayed sort of hidden by a tree and I was able to get about 8 – 10 ft from him before he hopped off.
He was eating fresh cut grass.
We use to see lots of bunnies all the time but the Hawks look at those, squirrels and dove as easy meals. The dove decline this year is drastic.

We used to have lots of rabbits too. One year mama rabbit had her nest in our flower pot right next to the front door. But for many years now we haven’t seen any rabbits , though we did see a fox and we hear coyotes. This spring there’s a rabbit in our backyard. We’ll see for how long.

That is what is so upsetting about nature. Everything needs to eat but why do they have to eat in our area lol.
