Platelet Rich Therapy

For several months my right side of my jaw would pop every time I chewed something.

One day the popping stopped and I was so relieved. However only to have it come back a few days later with extreme pain on the left side.

I could not even open my mouth wide enough to eat a sandwich or open half an inch at that.

I immediately started looking for a dentist in my area to see. I contacted Manvel Dental and Implant center and made an appointment to see Dr. Collins.

I was able to get an appointment quickly. I explained to Dr. Collins about the extreme pain I was experiencing and that it felt like I was being socked in the face really hard in my jaw.

I was educated on TMD (temporomandibular disorder) which causes pain in your jaw joint and in the muscles that control jaw movement.

Dr. Collins extensively talked to me about how he can possibly relieve me of pain with Platelet Rich Therapy. Since I wanted relief NOW I agreed to do it.

After I was given the therapy within 30 minutes or so I could open my mouth a bit more and the pain was gone. However, the pain came back about 10 days later.

Dr. Collins advised me that it could take up to 3 treatment of therapy to resolve the issue.

I just completed my second session and I am able to open my jaw even further. I am ecstatic at the progress I am getting with this therapy.

My jaw movement has improved and the pain is very minimal.

I have scheduled my third session of therapy and love being part of a new medical breakthrough that I believe can help so many people with a variety of jaw problems.

I want to personally thank Dr. Collins and his team for helping me to resolve my TMD jaw pain.

I edited this since I had the terminology wrong.

Blooming Daylilies

It is that time of year when the daylilies bloom.

This year they are doing really well I think its because we have had so much rain.

Through the years we have moved a few into the backyard secret garden area but I found a new place to move some in the front yard.

I love it when flowers multiply and you can share them with someone special or move a few to a new location.

Pitiful Pups

I was in the front yard with the grandkids, Jeanelle and their new Cane Corso puppy.

The pup had just had its ears cut so they are super tender and we were trying to do some pics but Mako ( the pup)  was not cooperating.

We went to the side yard in the front for fewer distractions and low and behold Daisy and Zoee were in the backyard and they did this pitiful pose at the gate.

These two are always trying to be the center of everyone’s attention.

Little Bunny

I saw this little bunny hopping around the back yard he was lucky the dogs were not out there to play chase.

When I went outside & he did not see me I stayed sort of hidden by a tree and I was able to get about 8 – 10 ft from him before he hopped off.

He was eating fresh cut grass.

We use to see lots of bunnies all the time but the Hawks look at those, squirrels and dove as easy meals. The dove decline this year is drastic.

Texas State Bird

The Texas state bird is the mockingbird.

We have had one hanging around in our yard I know it is the same one is she goes to the exact same trees in the same spot every day.

Shes always singing and making noise. The only thing I hate is she keeps the bluebirds out of the yard I have seen her chase them off.

In the second picture, she caught a spider with eggs. Her favorite tree is a dead one.

The singing of a mockingbird is constant it is like they do not even take a breath.

Gray Treefrog

This Gray tree frog was on the side of our house.

I was sort of shocked because I have never seen one before I have heard people talk about them.

Nearby was a regular green tree frog maybe they were friends.

She is different looking but I think she’s a pretty frog. I like frogs.

Three ducks in a row

The ducks have been back about a month now.

Sometimes there are just two and other times there are 10 but almost always they are in pairs.

In this picture, there was only three I am not sure what happened but sometimes the other partner shows up a few minutes later.

Are you ducks in a row?

Boxer dog playtime

Our two boxers love water.

Daisy loves her plastic pool and Zoee is obsessed with the water hose.

Tuesday we had close to 6″ of rain in a few hours.

It was raining so fast and hard it could not drain off fast enough so our backyard looked like this.

I decided to let the dogs out to see what they would do and these pictures pretty much tell the story. I wish I knew what they were thinking.

Fog on the hay bails

I love taking pictures of freshly cut hay bails.

I was able to get a few shots in the fog early one morning after the hay had been bailed the night before.

The way they line up in rows is unique and every now you will see a few out of place.

Photographing them is a challenge sometimes.
