This great blue heron was on the road.
It is probably the same one that use to stalk our koi/goldfish pond before we netted it.
I was able to get a few pics before he spotted me.

I find it so hard to believe they can still fly after all they eat. I watch them eat down on the Brazos River for hours and then they take off with no struggle. If I ate like them I can guarantee breathing issues would follow.
