My sister and I walk & bike ride and this week we joined a gym.
Today we were walking in one of our favorite parks that happens to be mostly shaded and you are surrounded by nature.
We had done round 1 of the trails and were on the path part.
There normally is us and 4 others at this park in the early morning this is at 7:00 a.m.
I looked up and I see this guy standing by his car but he is obviously watching this young girl 25ish running. I told my sister I had a bad feeling. I took out my mace spray and moved it where I could get to it easier just in case we needed it.
The girl had lapped us she was running not jogging and she was heading toward the guy when he all of a sudden he raised the hood of his car. Once she spotted him I think she knew something was not quite right she turned around and went the other direction.
We kept walking hoping to cross paths with her but she actually went to another park across the street so she was safe.
We continued to watch the guy without letting on we were watching him. All of a sudden after we are coming around the path he headed to the trails where we were going next. He left his hood up on his car and the windows down and was walking the trails the whole thing was creepy.
Once he was out of site we got into my truck and left but not until we drove past his car to get the license plate number just in case we might need it.
I am glad to know the girl left the park but I do not think he knew this. I think he went looking for her on the trails. It was one of the scariest things ever I just felt he was up to no good by watching his actions.
First of all, no one should run, walk, jog or bike by themselves it is just not safe. Make sure you pay attention to what is going on around you it could save your life or someone else’s.
The trails are very secluded through a brushy tree area and often times you do not see anyone on the trails. The trails are 1 mile there and back so no one would see you unless they were going down the trails.
We have since decided not to go back to the park for a while because it really bothered us both.
Remember there is always SAFETY in Numbers and please pay attention to what is going on around you.
Some whacked people out there. Glad she did get away.

I have never witnessed anything like that before and I was so scared for her. I guess I figured we had my mace spray so if he tried to snatch her we could go through the grass and spray him. Our youngest son told me this is why I need a gun. I do not think you are allowed to take guns in the parks.
