Dancing Goat’s

I was able to get a few more goat pictures but they were not being very cooperative. When the goats get let out of their pen they have one thing on their mind and that is eating.

Some of the goats I have shown you before and others are new to the blog.

The black goat that has the white spots name is Valentine she was just bred for the first time.

The white goat that has the black spots is named Boney she is older and has had babies a few times before but is a good milker.  She too was just bred.

Clover is the brownest one with black and some white.

Buttercup is brown and white but has quite a bit of white. She is also the one standing by herself in the picture. I love the expression on her face it was like she was talking lol.

Clover and Buttercup will not be bred until the spring.

It appears that the goats were dancing in these pictures when all they were really doing was trying to reach the leaves on the cypress tree.

As you can tell these goats are well-fed thanks to buttercup showing off her pot belly.

Reddish Egret

This reddish egret was posing for my camera in Galveston.

Most of the time the shorebirds quite use to people being around on the beaches. If you make a sudden movement they will leave and then come back again.

Eyes of the frogs

At our daughter and son in laws house in the pond, there are quite a few bullfrogs.

Jeanelle had told me to try and get close enough to take a picture because they seem to be fairly friendly. I was using my 400mm lens and was able to get this shot.

I call it “Eye of the Frogs” because all you see are the eyes.

Nature is all around us just waiting to be photographed at the perfect moment.

Shrimp boats

Sometimes when we go to Galveston we take a ferry ride and you always see some neat things along the way.

Bolivar is the opposite of Galveston there is hardly any traffic and no shopping there except a little store here and there. Life seems to move at a much slower pace.

On this ferry ride, we saw a few shrimp boats and a few birds catching a free ride. You know those shrimpers have to get annoyed with the birds swarming the boat all the time.

The Gulf of Mexico was quite busy this last weekend.

Tiny shorebirds

I really love going to the beach and getting to take pictures of the shorebirds.

These tiny sandpipers are always in a large group close to the waters edge it’s pretty easy to get their pictures¬†with their reflections.

We spent yesterday at the beach because that was what I wanted to do for my birthday which so happens to be today.

Normally my birthdays are always spent doing something that involves taking pictures because that is what I love to do.

I will be sharing more pictures of the beach trip this week.
