DIY – Garden Angels

I had been seeing the garden angels on Pinterest and knew I needed to make some.

All you need is an old shutter, acrylic paint, sponge brush,  a few thin boards or paint stirrers for the neck and arms, a large plastic saucer plate, spray paint, screws, and jewelry and flowers if you want.

I did not want to fully cover the shutters with paint so I left some white showing to add dimension. I used a sponge brush on the shutters and I spray painted the plates for the faces.

I am always collecting shutters so  I had everything for both of these angels already.

The green/ yellow one is for my sister’s yard and the blue/ purple one is for ours.

On my sisters, I used newer wider cedar fence boards for the wings on mine I used old cedar pickets that had been painted and aged so I had to sand them down.

I found 4 more shutters so I can make some more. I love the way these turned out.
